Writing Report for April 2010

May 1, 2010

It was an even better month for writing in April, both for productivity and attitude. I have a feeling winding down Futurismic submissions helped out, so we’ll see if an editing-free May continues the trend.

According to my writing journal, I wrote on eighteen of thirty days last month, completing three and a half chapters of Subnetworks for a total of 8,800 words. Ten chapters to go!

Awesome progress. I hope I get to read a draft sometime! I am so encouraged for myself to read that others with full-time jobs still manage to squeeze in time to put words on paper.

Thanks, Shelley! I guess discipline is the key, and using the time you have. I’m finding it easier to produce in this way on a long project, too; short stories tend to write when they want to be written, but the novel lets me push it around a little more.
